Brennen Carson

PFC Brennen Carson '02
As high school graduation approached Brennen didn't want to make a set decision about a specific career.  Utilizing the "buddy system" Brennen and good friend Blake Bertany decided to enlist in the Marine Corps.  Brennen joined the Marines as a way to explore a variety of career opportunities while simultaneously serving his country.  While Boot Camp is said to be physically demanding he had somewhat of a head start by continuing to be physically fit since being a gymnast at Conant. After the traditional thirteen weeks of Boot Camp at Camp Pendleton in San Diego where he is stationed, Brennen advanced on to combat training.  Then he studied artillery logistics in Alabama. Today Brennen is serving in Iraq with "Ammo Company."  The entire Carson family is proud of Brennen and his commitment.  Brennen's mother Maureen said, "We are so proud of Brennen and at the same time we are anxious for his safe return."
