In August of 2002 Mr. Kane began working as an assistant principal at James B. Conant High School.  In 2001 Mr. Kane worked as a Dean of Students and prior to that worked as a mathematics teacher at Conant High School since 1991.  Mr. Kane taught mathematics at Plainfield High School in 1990.  Mr. Kane holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Illinois State University, a Master of Science in Education from Northern Illinois University, and a Master of Science in Administration from Roosevelt University.  Mr. Kane attended St. Patrick High School in Chicago.  Mr. Kane is currently the head wrestling coach at Conant High School.  He has also coached freshman football for eight years.
